Tour Itinerary
Your Golden Triangle journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Delhi. After a warm greeting, you'll embark on a guided city tour of Delhi, covering both Old and New Delhi, where you’ll experience a vibrant blend of historical landmarks and modern attractions.
Start by visiting Jama Masjid, one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in India. From here, take a rickshaw ride through the bustling streets of Old Delhi, giving you a unique glimpse of the traditional markets and vibrant culture. Continue to the Red Fort (viewed from the outside), a stunning Mughal structure that once served as the residence of the Mughal emperors. Visit Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, and pay your respects to the Father of the Nation.
Next, explore the grandeur of India Gate, an iconic war memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers. Stop for a photo at the President’s House and take a scenic drive through Parliament Street, home to some of India’s most important government buildings. Visit Bangla Sahib, a peaceful Sikh temple, and if it’s open, take a moment at Gandhi’s Home (closed on Mondays). If time permits, visit the serene Lotus Temple, known for its unique flower-like architecture (closed on Mondays).
After your day of sightseeing in Delhi, you’ll drive towards Agra via the expressway, a journey that takes approximately 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay in Agra.
On the second day of your tour, wake up early for a visit to the Taj Mahal at sunrise. This iconic monument, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, will captivate you with its breathtaking beauty. The early morning light enhances its grandeur, making it an unforgettable experience.
After your visit to the Taj Mahal, return to your hotel for breakfast, followed by a visit to Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the fort’s impressive architecture, including the exquisite Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audiences) and the beautiful gardens.
Post-lunch, you will have the chance to browse through the local arts and crafts of Agra, a city famous for its marble work, carpets, and leather goods. Afterward, you will depart for Jaipur, en route stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, a former Mughal capital. This UNESCO World Heritage site boasts stunning architecture, including the Buland Darwaza (the Great Gate) and the Jama Masjid.
You will continue your drive to Jaipur, arriving by 7-8 PM. Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay in the "Pink City."
After breakfast, start your day with a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort, located on the outskirts of Jaipur. This fort, perched on a hill, offers stunning views and is a fantastic example of Rajput architecture. You will experience an exciting elephant ride to the fort's entrance, adding a regal touch to the experience.
Following your visit to Amber Fort, head to the City Palace, an architectural masterpiece that houses museums and courtyards reflecting Jaipur’s royal heritage. Then, visit Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory that dates back to the 18th century. It houses the world’s largest stone sundial and other instruments used to observe celestial bodies.
Next, stop at the Jal Mahal, a beautiful palace set in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake, and capture a few photos of this picturesque sight. Visit the Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), known for its unique honeycomb structure and hundreds of windows. Lastly, pay a visit to the peaceful Birla Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
Jaipur is renowned for its jewellery and textiles, so there will be time to explore some local markets where you can shop for souvenirs. After lunch, begin your drive back to Delhi, expecting to arrive by 8 PM. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your Golden Triangle Tour.
